In my spare timeMelissa loves meditation and volunteering at Mary Potter House (a dementia daycare centre attached to Calvary Hospital). She is writing a book on Living Fully & Dying Well and wants to support open, honest conversations and death literacy at end of life for families to help them gain peace and comfort.
She runs free Death Cafes in Newtown where people meet to talk about end of life over a chai and cake; so if you’re curious just text her on M 0425213338 to join the next get together!
Mel sponsors devoted Tibetan Buddhist practitioners in India-Tsering Dolkar a nun and Jamyang Sherab a teenage monk living at Sera Mey Monastery who she visits periodically.
